Virtual SOFIC

What if I register for the virtual event and miss it?

What is On-Demand?
On-Demand will give you access to view the releasable presentations and handouts from SOFIC, at your own convenience,  during SOFIC and for thirty (30) days following the conference. Note: you will only be able to access the On-Demand sessions if you are registered for the virtual or combined conference.

When will I receive the instructions for attending SOFIC?

What do I need to do to participate in SOFIC?
In order to participate in virtual SOFIC you need to register either for the virtual or combined attendance options.

Do I have access to all of the virtual sessions?
In a word, yes! Similar to if you were attending the conference in person, you will be given the opportunity to select which virtual sessions you’d like to attend virtually. It is up to you to decide which sessions interest you and to attend those sessions as desired. You may attend as many or as few sessions as you want.

Will all of the in-person SOFIC sessions be available virtually?
No, only certain sessions will be broadcast virtually. Please visit SOFIC.org to view the agenda.

Will I be able to see the presenters for each session?

We encourage you to ask questions at any time. The speakers will be answering questions from both the virtual and in-person audiences.

Can I share my virtual conference login information with other members of my team?
No
, your login information is unique to your individual registration. For every paid registration to attend virtually, only the registered attendee will be allowed to enter the platform and view the conference. The questions asked and the polling conducted within that single login session are all tied to the account of the individual that purchased the virtual event.

Can I access and view recordings of any sessions from the conference?
Your virtual conference registration includes access to all virtual educational session recordings after the event concludes. Don’t worry, you can view any releasable sessions you missed approximately fourteen (14) days after the conference.

Will virtual SOFIC have an Exhibit Hall?
Yes, virtual SOFIC will have a virtual exhibit hall. Attendees will be able to view company profiles, products, and services just like they would at in-person SOFIC.

How can I network with other attendees virtually?

The second way attendees will be able to connect is through the Networking Break Lounges. This feature will give all attendees the ability to connect with each other through engaging discussions.

Beware of 2021 Unofficial Housing & Attendee Scams

2021 SOFIC Housing & Attendee Lists
SOFIC exhibitors and attendees have reported receiving solicitations from vendors NOT affiliated with SOFIC – specifically regarding hotel reservations and attendee list sales.

Attendee Email List Scams
We would like to remind all participants that NDIA does not distribute or sell an attendee mailing list or e-mail list for SOFIC. Any solicitation claiming to have a list of SOFIC attendees is fraudulent.

Hotel Reservation Scams
Housing for 2021 SOFIC will open in February 2021.
Unscrupulous third parties are sending out emails not affiliated to NDIA, USSOCOM or SOFIC asking that attendees book hotel reservations through them. They are asking for full payment, do not provide any credit card information to these companies.

SOFIC’s official housing and registration provider is Maritz and NDIA has no affiliation with any other room brokers. Maritz is the only company that is officially sanctioned and certified by NDIA to book hotel rooms on behalf of its exhibitors and attendees. Reservations made by unaffiliated organizations may appear to have lower rates, however they may be illegitimate, not have the rooms to sell, have unreasonable cancellation or change penalties, or be completely non-refundable. Please be aware of and report any unauthorized solicitation to NDIA.
